Celle™ Chair
The Celle™ Chair has received Cradle to Cradle Certification
at both the Gold and Silver levels, depending upon the specific
components used.
The following models have been certified Gold:
- Graphite (seat/back color)
- Graphite (base/frame color)
- Champagne (seat/back color)
- Brownstone (seat/back color)
The following models have been certified Silver:
- Brownstone (base/frame color)
- Cabernet (seat/back color)
- Green Leaf (seat/back color
- Blue Fog (seat/back color)
- All models that meet the requirements of California Technical
Bulletin 133
The certifications are valid for products manufactured for sale
within North America.
Herman Miller's work on CelleT and other office furniture demonstrates
its dissemination of environmental considerations throughout product
design. From the company's website: "Celle was developed using
Herman Miller's Design for Environment cradle-to-cradle protocol,
which establishes strict standards for recyclability, safe content,
easy disassembly, minimal packaging, and minimal waste. As a result,
like all Herman Miller products, Celle fits into the company's
vision of sustainable design."

Chair:
- 99 percent recyclable
- Contains 33 percent recycled content
- Can be disassembled in less than five minutes for efficient
recycling
- Parts can be replaced in the field
