Tartan® Track

Based on Athletic Polymer Systems’ preferred material chemistry and recyclability, its limited use and degradation of water resources, and its initial steps to establish positive agendas for energy use and social responsibility, the Tartan® track has been certified as a Cradle to Cradle™ product at the Silver level.

APS’ most well-known product is its running track, formulated with an environmentally preferred polyurethane and other ingredients. The Tartan® track leads its market in terms of performance and construction, which includes being truly mercury-free. An increasing number of colleges and universities are specifying mercury-free track materials, to help move the industry away from such components and to be more socially responsible themselves.
