MBDC news for March, 2003:

Monthly Feature: Between Technology and Commerce

"[Biotechnology] presents a fundamental challenge to democracy: If new technologies create irreversible ecological effects, future generations are denied the right to make a different choice. "

As the international, intercultural, and commercial debates about biotechnology and genetically modified organisms (GMOs) continue to grow, are there important issues being left out of the discussion? Is biotechnology consistent with cradle-to-cradle thinking?

In this month's feature article, Bill McDonough and Michael Braungart discuss some key questions in the biotech debate, and attempt to introduce a new perspective.
